Pre-Installation Planning 🗺️

Confirm the location

Please clarify the purpose of the Recessed Lighting before installation. Do you need it for general lighting, accent lighting, or task lighting? For example, a 4-inch Recessed Lighting is suitable for smaller spaces such as hallways, and bathrooms, or as focused lighting on countertops.

Be sure to decide where you want to install them before you do soafter all, there's no way to get the hole back after it's been cut!

Layout Planning

Each LED Recessed Lighting should be spaced appropriately beforehand for even illumination. In general, the spacing is best set at 4 to 6 feet.

Power Off

Ensure the main power is switched off before installation to avoid the risk of electric shock, and must be installed by a licensed electrician.

Step-by-Step Installation Guide

Step 1: Turn off the power

As reminded earlier, ensure the main power is switched off before Installation.

Step 2: Cut the holes

If you want to replace Recessed Lighting, then your ceiling should already have a hole pre-cut, so you just need to choose the right size of Recessed Lighting according to the diameter of the hole. Take ALUSSO Recessed Lighting for example, if you choose 85mm Recessed Lighting, the hole size should ideally be 67-75mm.

If it is the first time to install the Recessed Lighting, then you need to use a drilling tool to cut out the right-sized hole.

Step 3: Connect the wires

Open the power box, Connect the corresponding wires depending on color, and then close the power box.

Step 4: Install Recessed Lighting

Connect the power box to the terminals of the light and tighten the connection. When finished, place the power box into the mounting holes.

Step 5: Secure Recessed Lighting

Push up the spring buckles vertically, and insert it into the ceiling hole. Then release the spring buckles to fasten lamp in ceiling.

Step 6: Check

Make sure the recessed lighting panel is flush with the ceiling, then turn on the power.
